It’s been a week since Rise 2026 wrapped, and most of us are back to the regular rhythm: showings, inspections, the Tuesday that feels like a Monday. But the thing about Rise is that it keeps going after you leave. The handshakes become texts. The texts become tee times.
And this year it left us with a date on the calendar: Rise 2027 is headed to Atlanta.
Which means the 3rd Annual One Real Impact Golf Classic is headed there too. And for those of us on the board, that means the best part of the whole project starts now. Finding the course.
Las Vegas gave us a great year at Angel Park. The Mountain Course was the right call: scenic enough to make you look up, forgiving enough that 128 golfers of wildly different abilities could get around in a reasonable amount of time and still be smiling at the awards table. Any course we pick in Atlanta has to clear that same bar. Good for a scramble. Easy to reach from wherever the conference lands. Big enough for a shotgun start. A clubhouse that can handle a crowd afterward without anyone eating standing up in the parking lot.
Atlanta makes that job harder in the best way. It’s one of the deepest golf markets in the country. Bermuda fairways, real elevation, courses tucked into neighborhoods that have hosted everything from member-guests to tour events. We’ll be looking at a long list before it becomes a short one.
So here’s the ask. If you live in Georgia, if you’ve played a round in the metro area you still think about, if your cousin is the GM somewhere with a great back nine, send it our way. Bruce Needle and the Golf Classic board will be doing site visits over the coming months, and local knowledge beats a Google search every time.
Two years in, this event has raised over $43,000 for the Impact Fund, $25,000 of it in year one, and put a lot of agents on a first tee together who otherwise never would’ve met. Year three is a chance to do it bigger, in a new city, with a few more of you in the field.
The season may be winding down where you live. The planning isn’t.
